Moving and storage that bridges the gap between two dates

Sometimes the lease ends before the next one starts. Sometimes a renovation runs long. Since 2013 we have stored New Yorkers’ furniture and boxes in between, then brought it all back when they were ready. The moving and storage nyc clients ask us for is not a self-storage unit you haul to yourself; we load it, hold it, and redeliver it.

How much does moving and storage cost in NYC?

It depends on how much you store and for how long, plus the two moves on either side. We quote the whole thing upfront, hourly or flat, once you tell us the rough volume and timeline, so you see the storage and the moving in one number.

How long can you store my things?

This is built for the short gap between homes, the weeks when your move-out and move-in do not line up. Tell us your window and we plan around it. For longer holds, ask and we will talk through what makes sense.

Is my stuff insured in storage?

Your items are wrapped, inventoried, and held securely, and we carry coverage on the move and the storage. We will walk you through exactly what that protection looks like before anything goes in.

Do I have to be there for redelivery?

Yes, for move-in you or someone you trust should be there to say where things go, since the crew places furniture room by room rather than stacking it at the door. We schedule the redelivery for a date and window that works for you.

Do you handle the COI for storage moves?

Yes. Loading out and delivering back both involve building access, so if either address requires a certificate of insurance we file it ahead of each date. There is a charge for the COI and we confirm each building's exact format.
